The book addresses key aspects of health practice and research in various areas. The first chapter validates an instrument to evaluate surgical nursing praxis, highlighting the need for more robust tools in Mexico. The second chapter examines the integration of ancestral knowledge in the Andean medical system of Quinua, Ayacucho, highlighting its social and holistic relevance. The third chapter analyzes the evolution of the concept of risk and its application in epidemiological studies, using statistical tools such as RStudio. The fourth chapter focuses on orthodontics, discussing how anomalies in maxillary development affect occlusion and oral health. Finally, the fifth chapter presents an analysis of midwifery curricula in Chile, revealing a low presence of mathematics subjects despite their importance for research. This work highlights the interrelation between traditional knowledge and scientific advances in health.
