Synopsis

This book presents comprehensive research on various aspects of sustainable development, addressing relevant issues in Peru and Ecuador. The first chapter focuses on labor skills in the context of a circular economy, highlighting environmental awareness among workers in Piura. The second chapter examines the leading role of women in the Huinchupata household economy, highlighting their multiple roles and the impact of gender inequalities. The third chapter analyzes fraud in banana companies in El Oro and the importance of forensic auditing as a preventive tool. The fourth chapter evaluates university social responsibility actions in Machala, within the framework of the 2030 Agenda, emphasizing the need for educational quality. Finally, the fifth chapter investigates the socioeconomic determinants of the housing deficit in Machala, highlighting how they affect the quality of life of its inhabitants. Taken together, this research offers a critical and proactive vision of social and economic development in the region.
