Interdisciplinary Approaches in Social Sciences. Analysis of Contemporary Issues (Volume II)
Keywords:
Local communication, digital justice, decoloniality, public policies, inequalities.Synopsis
This collective work critically analyzes 16 key dimensions of contemporary Latin American development, integrating perspectives of communication, justice, education and public policy. It explores: 1) the role of local media in the construction of identity; 2) the challenges of digital justice and peace processes; 3) female migrations and heritage conservation; 4) political thought and critical teacher training; 5) labor precariousness and gender inequalities; 6) decolonial approaches to power; and 7) tensions in communication policies and green innovation. Through plural methodologies (case studies, quali-quantitative analysis and critical reviews), it reveals how global transformations impact the region differently. It highlights local experiences that resist homogenization, proposing alternatives for a fairer and more inclusive society. Aimed at academics, decision makers and social actors, the book offers both rigorous diagnoses and contextualized paths of action for the complex Latin American challenges.
