Synopsis

Knowledge in Practice. Transdisciplinary Developments in Health from Latin American Territories (Volume I), coordinated by Gabriela Barreno, brings together research that approaches health from an integrated and situated perspective. Across fourteen chapters, specialists from various Latin American countries examine topics such as social thinking in health, nursing education in contexts of armed violence, lessons from ancestral medicines, genetic and environmental factors in autism, missed care in nursing homes, anabolic use, physical activity and cognitive self-regulation, predictors of anxiety during COVID-19, malpractice in drug trading, culturally situated informed consent, leadership and patient safety culture, the pharmacological potential of tarwi alkaloids, teacher mental health, and the relevance of Greek medicine.
