Urban Problems in Morelos is a collaborative book that analyzes the main urban, social, and socio-environmental challenges facing the state of Morelos. From a critical and interdisciplinary perspective, the work examines how unplanned urbanization, social inequality, and environmental pressures shape territorial dynamics that affect the daily lives of the population. The eight chapters address topics such as urban poverty, pollution associated with construction and industry, water management, gentrification, urban mobility of university students, the care crisis for older adults, the situation of people experiencing homelessness, and attitudes toward democracy. The analyses are based on case studies and quantitative and qualitative methodologies applied to municipalities throughout the state. The book conceives of the city as a space of struggle for rights and resources and contributes elements to urban planning and public policy.
