Dietetics and nutrition is a subject that forms the Nursing Career taught for the second semesters at the Instituto Superior Tecnológico ITCA. The general objective is to acquire skills in the management and elaboration of diets that provide solutions to the nutrition of healthy patients and those with established pathologies, capable of motivating any person to positively change their lifestyle based on knowledge of Dietetics and Nutrition. This science, which involves multiple disciplines, investigates how living beings function at each stage of human life. Thus, nutrition in any period of life is fundamental because it helps the body to develop and function properly, as well as to prevent and/or treat some diseases. In addition, a variety of factors, including geographical, social, cultural, religious, pathological and economic environments, influence the nutrition of each individual.
