In this sense, the authors develop case studies of the Ecuadorian economy. The first volume introduces the reader to topics oriented to the dimensions of access and availability, considering transversal lines of the economic discipline as market concentration, international markets, price volatility in the local market, autonomous consumption of food in rural areas, productivity and negative externalities. This book is a must read for students and professionals in the field of social sciences, as well as academics whose line research is based on the analysis of the economic context of food security in Ecuador.
