Meaningful Curriculum Design. From Curriculum Plan to Real Learning
Keywords:
Curriculum design, Teacher autonomy, Curriculum development, Educational planning, Competency-based education.Synopsis
This book is born from an uncomfortable question: why do so many well-intentioned teachers end up teaching the same thing, in the same way, even when the official program says otherwise? The answer is not a lack of will, but a lack of tools to make curricular decisions with their own criteria. Faced with content overload, the pressure to "cover" the program, and the confusion surrounding the New Mexican School, this work offers theoretical foundations and practical tools for teachers to reclaim their professional autonomy: distinguishing the essential from the accessory, designing projects with a disciplinary backbone, pruning without guilt, and evaluating their own curriculum. A book for teachers who want their students to learn with depth and meaning.
