ProSEL‑iT Model of Socio‑Emotional Response Before, During, and After Critical Classroom Situations: 12 Narratives for Teacher Well‑Being
Keywords:
teacher well-being, socio-emotional competencies, crisis management, professional flourishing, ProSEL-iTSynopsis
Twelve real-life stories from Chilean teachers form the core of this work, which addresses the management of critical incidents in the classroom from a deeply humanizing perspective. Moving away from abstract theory, the book analyzes situations such as aggression, threats, or accusations, offering a practical response model structured in three moments: before, during, and after the crisis. Its central proposal is to move from reactivity toward proactive socio-emotional action that protects the teacher's mental health. The goal is for educators not only to withstand adversity but also to achieve professional flourishing through it, strengthening their vocation and overall well-being.
