O livro reúne pesquisas realizadas no campo da saúde em diferentes contextos da América Latina. Suas contribuições buscam tornar visíveis diversos elementos da esfera da vida, como políticas de saúde para pessoas transgênero, perspectivas pedagógicas para a abordagem e prevenção de infecções associadas à assistência à saúde, a busca pela promoção da saúde a partir de Instituições de Ensino Superior, propostas de propriedades antivirais sobre o vírus da gripe por meio de cascas de frutas e o uso da inteligência artificial como ferramenta de gestão do conhecimento em odontologia. Como se pode observar, os estudos são teórico-práticos e permitem a divulgação de pesquisas de alto nível na comunidade acadêmica.
