Educational Research in Latin America. Studies on Teacher Training, Innovative Practices, and Institutional Governance (Volume III)
Keywords:
Higher education, teacher training, educational inclusion, equity, artificial intelligence.Synopsis
This book brings together research addressing the structural challenges of higher education in Latin America from a critical and situated perspective. The chapters move from the analysis of barriers to educational inclusion and socioeconomic inequalities in digital access, to the reflection on linguistic mistreatment of Mapuzugun-speaking children in Chilean and Argentine schools. Teacher training for teaching controversial topics, the value-attitudinal dimension of pedagogical competencies, and the potential of socioconstructivism in virtual environments are examined. The work also addresses epistemic injustice in historical assessment, automated feedback strategies in English, work simulation experiences, and the need for algorithmic literacy with a gender perspective in the face of artificial intelligence biases.
